Masonry Window Sill - Poor end details

Here the metal flashing is in place but does not extend far enough to intercept all of the water. The stone sill is dammed at the end, but only partially. As predicted by Murphy, the sealant between the masonry and the sill has deteriorated, allowing moisture to enter the wall by capillary action and by gravity.
